Opening this great big box of goodies was a lot of fun!  Little Diva & Little Dude went crazy and wanted to open everything at once.  They had their own little taste testing party and we even shared some of our treats with our neighbors.  Newman’s Own Organics even sent us some of their pet food and treats in a different box.  Even the dog, Bentley, got to chow down.  He loves the peanut butter dog treats!

There were a lot of tasty treats in this box – I am going to tell you about our favorites!

About Newman’s Own Organics:

Newman’s Own Organics was established as a division of Newman’s Own in 1993, and became a separate company in late 2001. Paul Newman has given over $200 million to thousands of charities worldwide since 1982.

Their products are certified organic by Oregon Tilth. Ingredients have been grown on farms that have not used artificial fertilizers or pesticides for three years or more. The farms and processors have been certified by an independent third party.

Our Top Four Favorites:

My husband really enjoyed the Newman’s Own Organics Dark Chocolate Bar.  He normally is not a fan of plain chocolate, but he made it a point to let me know that this chocolate bar was “really good.”

From Newman’s Own Organics:  The USDA Organic Seal assures that at least 95% of the ingredients are organically certified. The Rainforest Alliance Certified™ seal guarantees that the cocoa in our Signature Series was grown on farms that meet comprehensive standards for sustainable farming, protecting soil, waterways and wildlife habitat as well as the rights and welfare of workers, their families and communities.

Snacking on pretzels is something I do, so naturally the pretzels are one of my favorites.  My favorite kind were the SPELT pretzels.  They give me that crunch that I am looking for in a low-fat snack.  I particularly like that their pretzels are baked (not fried)!  Each serving delivers 5 grams of protein. This makes for an even better low-fat, healthy snack!

A household favorite was the Cinnamon Graham Alphabet Cookies.  These are a tasty little treat for all.  The kids loved spelling out words and eating the letters.  A little learning combined with snack time!

From Newman’s Own Organics:  “Animal crackers were a favorite of mine growing up,” says Nell. “Our Alphabet cookies offer the same kind of fun. We’re hearing from both parents and teachers that the letters intrigue kids. They’re spelling out their names and finding words to make before popping them into their mouths. They make great snacks with juice or milk.”

Newman-O’s!!  Can you say de-lic-ious?  These yummy Cream Filled Chocolate Cookies come in six milk dunkin’ good flavors: Original, Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Hint O’ Mint, Ginger ‘n’ Cream, and Wheat Free Dairy Free.  My son’s most favorite is the Hint O’ Mint.
