It is almost that time!  What time, you say? Oh, Halloween!  I am an October baby, an almost Halloween baby.  I always have really loved Halloween.  I love the Fall, love carving pumpkins, love pumpkin pie, apple picking, and of course trick-or-treating.  When I was younger I loved scary, horror movies

My kids love Halloween almost as much as I did when I was a kid.  We start talking costumes around our house months in advance.  When I told my Little Man it was time to sit down and choose a costume, he was right by my side in milliseconds.  Being a BIG second grader this year, he informed me that he needed a really scary costume.  He told me “Mom, this year, I want to be something terrifying for Halloween.”  He is so darn adorable, I didn’t have the heart to tell him he could never be terrifying.  So, off to search the Costume Supercenter website for terrifying costumes.  He had many to choose from and it took him about a week to decide, but he is very happy with his final choice.  Keep reading to see what he chose to be for Halloween 2012.

Costume Review

And we have a terrifying Evil Jester!!!

Little Man loved this costume as soon as he saw it.  He read this part of the costume description “Your child may not get many laughs in this costume, unless he enjoys scaring the crap out of people.”  Sealed the deal.
The Evil Jester costume includes a black and white checkered shirt and pants, a head cover with an attached jester hat.  My son’s favorite part is the scary mask!  He loves the red marks around the eyes.
Overall, this costume appears to be well made.  The fabric is not flimsy at all and seemingly durable.  My only minor concern is that the hat is stuffed so well that it is a bit top heavy.  I think I will have to pin the top of the hat to the mask to keep it standing up right.  Easy enough fix.  It does look really cool with the great big joker hat “ears” being so prominent, so I’m not going to complain about a minor fix!
My Thoughts on the Costume Supercenter Website

Little Man and I  had a fun time browsing the website.  It is extremely easy to navigate.  Little Man had no issues browsing the site without my hands-on help.  I especially like that you can easily browse through separate categories, even for specific items within a category.  You can browse through all the new 2012 Halloween Costumes too.  There are plenty to choose from.  Another major positive for me is that when you are browsing the costumes, it is clearly listed what is included with the costume and the site also lists possible extra accessories for the costume.

My only complaint is that the size charts can be a little tricky.  I would prefer everything show in sizes such as Med. 7-8, rather than by  measurements.

Ordering was a cinch and the costume arrived sooner than expected.
