I do not like pests.  Any hint of a rodent or an insect nearby and I am calling in the exterminator – stat.  That is the hard (slightly embarassing) truth.  Now, this exterminator I speak of may be my husband or a professional bug man.  Either way, I am getting rid of the pests as soon as possible!

With Fall settling in, all those creepy crawlies are in search of a warm place to survive through the winter.  They are trying to find a way into our happy homes.  I love having house guests.  I draw a firm line on that not including pests!!  When my son was an infant, I found a spider in his nursery and I freaked out.  This new mama grabbed her baby and ran for safety as if we were being chased by a panther or something.   The thought of that creepy crawly monster on my perfect little baby was too much for me to handle at the time.  I laugh at myself now.  The reactions of a new mommy!  I called in the exterminator straight away and have had our homes treated ever since!

There will be no free-loading eight-legged guests at our house, that’s for sure!

Another little pest that turns me into an OCD overprotective Mama is the good, old Mosquito.  This little buzzer really can drive me crazy.  I am like candy to these things.  Ever since I was a child, they find me and try to suck the life out of me wherever I am.  I like to think it is because I am so sweet.  Mosquito bites swell on me and my kids, so I go out of my way to make our outside space a safe area.  i will take great measures to make sure those buzzing mosquitos know they are not welcome near my family.
