Gratitude, Thankfulness, Gratefulness, & Appreciation

This November, I thought it would be a perfect time to give thanks and encourage everyone else to do the same!

We are firm believers that what you put it out into the universe is what you will receive back! One of our favorite books is, The Secret by Rhonda Byrnes. If you haven’t read it, you really should.  It is a great reference to remind us of what is important and to stay positive.

In the busy world we live in today, it is so easy to forget to give gratitude.  To be grateful for what we have. To appreciate our loved ones.  To show humility.  To express Thanks.

With Thanksgiving coming,  I thought we would do a segment of posts for 30 Days of Gratitude!!  Please join us in the next month in thinking positively and expressing gratitude.  Try it with us and see if you feel better in general after a month of living more positively!

Day 17:

It is so easy to get caught up in the “rat race” of life that we miss opportunities to connect with people that we meet. So many times people are looking at their smart phone texting, emailing etc when a waitress is taking their order. This is just one example we may encounter during the day. We don’t even give another human being the respect they deserve. Today I will give my undivided attention to people that I come into contact today. I will engage in conversations and appreciate what they are doing for me.

Challenge 17:

Open your eyes and your hearts to making connections with people today that you may normally may not. Today appreciate fellow human beings.

Gratitude Giveaway:

We would love to hear from any of you who choose to take this challenge with us.  Most of all, we really feel like it will make people feel better and live more positively.  But, as an extra perk, one grateful Deal Hunting Diva reader will win a $25 Amazon code at the end of the 30 days.

Complete each daily challenge and then simply post a comment telling us how you completed it. Leave a comment on each challenge you complete to earn an entry!  (Make sure to leave your email address in the contact info, so we can contact you if you are the winner) Come back every day to take this journey of gratitude with us!!

I generally don’t encounter many new people during the course of my daily activities, but I did attempt to reconnect, if you will, with an inlaw relative who is also my neighbor. She left me some super fancy & very yummy cookies that she baked for my birthday. I went over and, of course, thanked her, but I also took the opportunity to actually spend some time talking, or more importantly, listening to her. We used to chat about things on a daily basis, but had let other familial conflicts cause us to become distant with each other to the extent that we barely exchanged a quick “Hi”. I don’t like that our relationship was affected by others’ unrelated issues & I hope that our little convo was the first step toward healing from that.
