30 Days of Gratitude: Day 22 & $25 Amazon Giveaway

Gratitude, Thankfulness, Gratefulness, & Appreciation

This November, I thought it would be a perfect time to give thanks and encourage everyone else to do the same!

We are firm believers that what you put it out into the universe is what you will receive back! One of our favorite books is, The Secret by Rhonda Byrnes. If you haven’t read it, you really should.  It is a great reference to remind us of what is important and to stay positive.

In the busy world we live in today, it is so easy to forget to give gratitude.  To be grateful for what we have. To appreciate our loved ones.  To show humility.  To express Thanks.

With Thanksgiving coming,  I thought we would do a segment of posts for 30 Days of Gratitude!!  Please join us in the next month in thinking positively and expressing gratitude.  Try it with us and see if you feel better in general after a month of living more positively!

Day 22:

Now that you have began living a way of gratitude you see things differently. A trick that I use to continue this way of life is to use a gratitude journal. I open this journal often. I write in it on a regular basis and often read through what I have written. I write about all the things I am thankful for and all the things that I want in my life.

Challenge 22:

Start a gratitude journal. Choose how often you want to write in the journal and keep the promise to yourself. Start by writing about what makes you happy and grateful.

Honestly? Once a week. If I’m lucky. But, I’d like to write it in everyday!

In the past, I’d enthusiastically begin a new daily journal just to inevitably be overwhelmed by the number of days I’d end up behind, which ultimately caused me to give up on the whole thing. Since I’m assuming a gratitude journal is meant to be helpful and not a source of stress, I’m tentatively aiming to write in it atleast once a week. For me, I think it would be more beneficial to reflect on the past week being thankful for the prevalent things in my life rather than focusing on the more transient & superficial daily stuff. But that’s just my personal preference :-)

I actually tried to do this last year, but I wasn’t good about keeping up on it. I’d love to do it once a day, but I’d shoot for once a week to start.
