Heart Shaped Cupcakes! Fun Valentine’s Day Idea!

If you are looking for a fun activity to do with the kids or just to show a little extra love this Valentine’s Day then check out how easy it is to make heart shaped cupcakes!!

No special pan needed!

What you will need:

12 Glass Marbles

Cupcake Pan

Favorite Cake Batter

Frosting of choice

Step 1:

Prepare your favorite cake batter as directed by box or recipe. I used a Red Velvet box mix so my cupcakes would be red too!! Place cupcake liners in cupcake pan and fill half way with batter.

Step 2:

Pull one side of cupcake liner in and drop glass marble as shown above. The cupcake will cook around the marble which creates a heart shape cupcake! So easy. The kids will love this part. Lil’ Princess thought it was so fun to place all the marbles.

Step 3:

Bake cupcakes as directed for recipe. Let cool on cooling rack.

Step 4:

Time to decorate!! Kids will love decorating and frosting the heart shapes cupcakes. I took white frosting and added a drop of red food dye to use white and pink frosting for our cupcakes. Use sprinkles, candy or whatever else you desire. Be creative. Enjoy!
